The Storyteller Behind the Camera — George Krousti

Born in Lewisham, London, raised in Downham, shaped in Bromley — and proudly based in Chesterfield since 2005.

Life took a beautiful turn at university, where I met my wife, and together we built a life (and a little chaos) up north.

I spent every Saturday growing up at Greek School, so yes — I’m semi-fluent in Greek, passionate about my heritage, and happiest when there’s food involved. My dad ran a chip shop, which probably explains why my ultimate comfort meal is cod, chips and mushy peas — though my heart belongs to pastitsio (a beautiful Greek pasta dish) and a busy kitchen.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me beekeeping (three hives and counting), cooking something from scratch, or chasing after my three children — Ava, Sofia and Harry.

Photography, for me, is about people.
